The
Bode City Council met in regular session Monday February 3, 2020 at 5:30pm in
the council chambers. All members were present. Also, present Greg Darling,
Twin Rivers Superintendent. A motion was made by Douglas, second by Dale to
approve the agenda as posted. A motion
was made by Douglas, second by Peterson to approve the minutes of the January
6th council meeting as published. All ayes, motion carried.
Greg
Darling, representing Twin Rivers school informed the council that the school
board had intentions of giving the City the old bus barn area located on
Rossing Ave. The school board requested that the area given would be allocated
as “Fire Related”, he stated that Twin Rivers would contact their attorney to
have the property properly deeded, the city would be responsible for the fees
associated with this. Following discussion, a motion was made by Douglas,
second by Tepner to accept this proposal with a 15-year plan to establish the
fire related area. All ayes, motion carried.
A
motion was made by Fulwider, second by Douglas to approve the Proposed Property
Tax Levy and set public hearing as February 18th @ 5:30PM in the
council chambers. All ayes, motion carried.
A
motion was made by Dale, second by Tepner to approve “Norms General Store” Class
C Beer Permit with Sunday Sales. All ayes, motion carried.
A
motion was made by Fulwider, second by Douglas to approve the ‘Red Lanterns”
Class C Liquor License with Sunday Sales. All ayes, motion carried.
A
motion was made by Dale, second by Douglas to approve a 5-day Liquor License
including Sunday Sales to the Bode Fire Department for their fun night which
will be held April 4th. All ayes, motion carried.
A
copy of the proposed City Budget was reviewed.
A
motion was made by Dale, second by Douglas to set the next regular meeting as
March 9th (second Monday). All ayes, motion carried.
