The
Bode City Council met in regular session Monday March 5, 2018 at 6pm in the
council chambers. All members were present. A motion was made by Douglas,
second by Rongved to approve the agenda as posted. A motion was made by Douglas, second by Peterson
to approve the minutes of the previous meeting as published. All ayes, motion
carried.
Todd
McMahon, City Maintenance provided information to the council concerning Tire
Straps for the snow plow truck. These straps provide extra traction on icy roads;
the cost for these straps are 250 for a set, two sets are needed, following
discussion a motion was made by Douglas, second by Tepner to order two sets for
a total cost of $500, all ayes motion carried.
The
council reviewed a couple options for used and new pressure washers; following
review a motion was made by Peterson second by Tepner to order a New Hotsy
Pressure washer for a total cost of 4000; this price reflects rebates and an
allowance for our old pressure washer. All ayes, motion carried.
A motion was made by Dale, second by Douglas
to approve the attendance of the Consumer Confidence Report Workshop for Todd
McMahon April 18th in Mason City for a cost of $50, All ayes, motion
carried.
Clean Up days were
discussed; currently we are looking at May 9th and 10th to be set for Spring Clean Up. City clerk to
contact Bennett Sanitation, this year will be similar to what the city has done
in the past with the exception of e-waste.
A motion was made by Dale,
second by Rongved to approve a $50 donation to Humboldt After Prom. All ayes,
motion carried.
This
being the time and place at which the council shall receive oral or written
objections from residents or property owners of the city concerning the Solid Waste Collections
and Control. The mayor called for any
oral or written objections and there being none a motion was made by Douglas,
second by Peterson to approve the Ordinance while waiving the second the third
reading of the ordinance. Roll call: Tepner, Dale, Peterson, Douglas, and
Rongved all voting AYE. The changes include litter control/Illegal Dumping
while adding Municipal Infractions to any violations on this ordinance. A copy

PROVISIONS PERTAINING TO SOLID WASTE CONTROL AND COLLECTION
There were not any taxpayer’s or citizens present for the public hearing on the proposed 2018-2019 City Budget. A motion was made by Douglas, second by Rongved to adopt the annual budget for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2019. All ayes, motion carried.
A motion was made by Dale, second by Douglas to order a CyberPower
Intelligent LCD 1500 VA 8-Outlet UPS for a cost of 162.69. All ayes, motion
carried. This device allows a computer to keep
running for at least a short time when the primary power source is
lost. It also provides protection from power surges.
Animal Control was discussed; City Clerk
directed to contact the City of Humboldt to see if a contact for such services
can be found.
A motion was made by Douglas, second by Dale
to set the next meeting as April 2nd . All ayes, motion carried.
