The Bode City Council met in regular session Monday June 4, 2018 at 6 PM in the council chambers. Council members Peterson, Tepner, Rongved and Douglas were present; absent Dale. Mayor Miller called the meeting to order; the minutes of the previous meeting were read with a motion by Rongved, second by Peterson to approve the previous minutes as published. A motion was made by Peterson, second by Tepner to approve the agenda as posted. All ayes, motion carried.
Todd McMahon. City Maintenance reported that the City Tractor will be going in for repairs, the tractor is not shifting at this time. He also mentioned that the old blade (Rhino 1400 10’ scraper blade) that was replaced will be advertised on Craigslist for sale with a minimum bid of $500. Also, due to the hail storm that hit Bode on May 1st the cities insurance companies have assessed the damages to all city owned buildings along with the Community Center building; Todd will contact contractors for damages received from this storm.
The council was made aware of the Community Center A/C unit, Harry’s Plumbing & Cooling will be contacted in regards to the repair/replace of this unit.
Councilman Douglas presented information on a generator that would power the warning siren in Bode when an electrical outage during a storm occurs. The estimate cost for this would be 14,331, the city will look into funding for this project.
City Clerk directed to run an ad in the Humboldt Reminder pertaining to Fireworks within the city limits: ***NOTICE***
